I grew up in Columbia, Maryland and then went to Duke for undergrad. I graduated in 2017 with a B.S. in Cell/Molecular Biology and a minor in Chemistry, then started graduate school at Princeton the fall after.  At Duke, I studied Arabidopsis root development in Philip Benfey’s lab and became interested in plant biology. I love the mix of different things you get to do as a scientist, like learning cool techniques, reading/evaluating papers, and taking opportunities to present your work.

In my free time, I wander through book stores, knit while watching Netflix, convince people to get ice cream with me, and attempt to cook appetizing food.
