Chlamy Mutant Library


We generated a genome-wide collection of mutants with known mutation sites in Chlamydomonas by leveraging novel high-throughput insertion site mapping and robotic mutant propagation strategies developed in our lab. This is the first such collection in any single-celled photosynthetic eukaryote.

We published a paper describing a pilot collection. Nearly 2,000 strains from this collection, and ~60,000 strains from an unpublished larger collection are now available through the Chlamydomonas Resource Center. To date, over 1,800 strains have been distributed to over 180 laboratories worldwide.
