Cole Pacini

I was born in New Jersey and obtained a B.S in Microbiology from Miami University of Ohio in the spring of 2022. During my undergraduate experience I had the privilege of studying Human Adenovirus and its competitive interactions with the DNA damage response of host cells during infection under Dr. Eileen Bridge. The invaluable hands-on experience and scientific training I received fostered my interest in molecular biology. I joined the Jonikas Lab in the summer of 2022 and currently work within the Mutant Library Group, sharing the goal of generating a genome-spanning library of Chlamydomonas reinhardtii mutants.

My favorite activities include fishing, playing sports, enjoying nature, reading, and playing guitar. I have had the pleasure of contributing to the dual championship-winning MolBio Departmental Softball team (The RNA’ces) and MolBio-affiliated Intramural Volleyball team (The Voly-peptides).
