Keenan Duggal
I am an undergraduate student ('23) who plans on concentrating in Molecular Biology. My whole life, I've known that I wanted to pursue some kind of cell-biology research to feed my curiosity on the subject. At Princeton, I was immediately drawn to the Jonikas lab because I felt that the lab's fundamental goal of hopefully helping the world meet future food demands is very valuable. In the lab, I primarily work under the mentorship of Eric Franklin and assist with his investigation of pyrenoid tubule biogenesis in Chlamydomonas reinhardtii.
I was born and raised in Upstate New York and as such, many of my favorite activities outside of the lab revolve around the Great Outdoors. I most enjoy hiking in the National Parks, swimming and watching the occasional 76ers game.
